I spent years teaching myself how to cook, and deciding to feed my family lower on the food chain has been a fascinating culinary challenge ("Wait, how do I make food taste good without butter and bacon fat?!") as much as an ecological (and health-conscious) choice. I thought I'd share some of my favorite discoveries here. You may find the occasional egg or dollop of fish sauce. I'm told the correct term for this diet is "flexitarian" - but c'mon, that's goofy. I call it 90% Vegan.
